Laity Lodge, Texas: Art Minister Retreats

Autumn of 2009 Arts Pastor, Theology and Art Professor, and Author Dr. David Taylor birthed an ecumenical vision to bring together Pastors and Ministers to Artists from all Christian denominations to converse with and learn from each other on various topics relating to the unique creative ministry to Artists of all mediums and genres inside and outside of the Church. The retreats were held at a secluded ecumenical Christian retreat center in the hill country of Texas for 7 years.

Myself and many leaders from the VineArts Boise art ministry of Vineyard Boise Church in Boise, Idaho attended this specialized extended weekend retreat each year from 2010-2015. During these years I met, conversed with, was challenged and inspired by, and became friends with numerous art ministry "counterparts" throughout the US, Canada, the UK, and New Zealand. My time and what I experienced the years of the Art Ministers retreats at Laity Lodge is priceless in my growth and training as an Art Minister.
